3期に亘り100名の整備士を育成、教官に成り得る人材の育成
東ティモール自動車整備の現状
東ティモールには、鉄道が無く、車両が唯一の交通・物流手段です。現在、約3万台の車両が走っていると言われていますが、そのうちの90%は、十万キロ以上を走った日本製の中古車です。
しかも、正規の技術を身につけた整備士のいる整備工場の不足や、整備技術の低さにより、一旦故障すると、ほとんどが修復できなくなり、市民生活に支障をきたしています。
また、この国の自動車整備工場は、外国人資本の外国人整備士によるものがほとんどで、修理に要する時間が長く、費用は高額です。
このため、外務省の無償資金援助の支援をいただき、東ティモールの自動車整備育成事業を実施しました。（2011年現在）
Automobile Mechanics Training
Current situation of automobile maintenance in East Timor
There is no railroad in East Timor, and vehicle is the only way for transportation and logistics.Currently, it is said that about 30,000 vehicles are running, 90% of which are used cars made in Japan running over 100,000 kilometers. And lack of maintenance factories and low level of technology cause inconvenience of civilian life when cars break down.
Also, most of the automobile maintenance factories in this country are managed by foreign mechanics and foreign capital, the repair time is long and the cost is expensive.
For this reason, we received grant aid from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented training project for the automobile mechanic.

| 一般市民15名、整備工場から15名、公務員5名の研修生に対し、日本の基準では3級にあたる整備士の養成を行いました。日本からは3名の整備教官が派遣されました。 | 30名の市民、公務員学生に対し毎日整備の教育を行いました。また教官10名の養成を行い、東ティモール人自らの手で整備士を養成しました。 | 市民、公務員等に25名を教育中、初級整備士コースの他に、2級整備士相当の能力と整備教育の教官能力を身につけるため、アドバンス（教官研修）コースを設置しました。 |
