皆様初めまして、この度JDRACの一員として東ティモールにて整備士養成に携わっています小山です。私は元メカニック兼鈑金塗装でしたのでメカニック目線でお伝えして参ります。一部分かりずらい表現が出てくるやもしれませんがご勘弁を。こちら東ティモールは本当に日本車が多いです。それも懐かしい感じの車がたくさん走っています。そうですね、年式で言えばバブル時の車でしょうか。こちたの新しい規制も手伝って最近は少しづつですが新しい車も入ってきています。道路事情があまり良くありませんので車高の高い4WDが多いです。一方、タクシーは普通のセダンです。学校の方の話に移りますが、周りは野原、牛やぎ犬等が割と普通に共存しています（笑）。日本の様に塀や門等は有りません。良く言えばのどかな場所にあります。そして電気がよく止まります。４月から始まり主に学科の授業をして参りました、生徒達は日本に比べると真剣ですね。私が整備士免許を取得した時の様子との比較ですが・・・。改めて自動車整備を見直しましたが電気、機械、流体、材料の分野まで、分かっていましたが幅広いです。自分もそうでしたが後々理解する事も多いですので、振り返った時に思い出せるような、またポイントを絞った授業を意識して行いました。今月からは学科に一区切りがつき、いよいよ実習に入ります。私が学生だった頃と同じようなつまらない授業はせずに、なるべくこちらにフィットした実習にして参ります。具体的には日本の整備士さんが就職して最初に覚える点検、車検整備をこちらに合った形で紹介、身に着けて頂く事となります。応用はそれからですよね。こちらはボルトは締めるだけ絞める、エアーは入るだけ入れる（笑）と、そんな感じな所から始まっています。また壊れたら直す（壊れるまで使う？）が当たり前になっていますので、壊れる前に指摘、部品発注が出来る様にしたいものです。それでは次回へ続きます。

Education fitted to local

Hello everybody, I am Oyama and came to East Timor as a member of JDRAC. Since I was a sheet metal paint mechanic, I will write with a mechanic perspective. In East Timor, there are actually many Japanese cars. Most of them are old (cars which were used in japan during its bubble era) and very nostalgic. However, new regulations help to import new ones. Since the road is not very good, most of the cars are high 4WD. On the other hand, taxis are just Sedans. How about school? There is no fence or gate. And electricity stops often. We mainly had a theory lesson from April. Students of class are serious compared to Japan. It is a comparison between when I got a mechanic license some years ago in Japan…

I also did so but I often understand it later. I focused on points and try to make lessons them to remember when they look back. From this month, we are starting a practical lesson. And we aim to implement an education fitted to East Timor. In particular, we focus on inspection and maintenance fitting the situation of this place which new mechanics do in Japan. In East Timor, bolt can be tightened and air enters as much as possible (laugh), it starts from such a place. And, since it becomes common that fix it if broken (use until it breaks?), we would like to able to point out and order the parts before it breaks.
