2002年4月PKO協力法により、陸上自衛隊は東ティモールに派遣され、
2004年3月までの2年間、道路の補修や人材育成などの国づくりを支援しました。
In April 2002, the Ground Self Defense Force was sent to Timor-Leste
by the PKO Cooperation Act. During the period of two years up to March 2004,
it made contribution assisting in building a country such as road repair and human resource development.
私たちJDRACは、陸上自衛隊の活動を引き継ぐために、
自衛隊OBを中心に結成されました。
自衛隊撤退後に東ティモールに残された資機材を、
東ティモール人の手で取り扱うことができるように、技術者を育てました。
以来、人づくりに力を注いでいます。
We, JDRAC, were formed to mainly by Self Defense Force OB in order to take over
the activity of the Ground Self Defense Force. We have raised Timorian technicians who can handle the equipment left in Timor-Leste with their hands after withdrawing of the SDF unit.

私たちは、国のために長年働き、第一線を退きました。
そして今、復興・開発途上の国々に対し、私たちの持っている
技術、知識、経験を伝えることで、貢献したいと考えています。
設立から15年以上が過ぎ、世代を超えた民間企業出身者の方たちが私たちの主旨に賛同し、
技術移転・人材育成を推し進めています。
一人でも多くの若者が技術を手にすることで、雇用を得、
明るい未来が描けるように私たちは彼らに寄り添います。
We worked for the country for many years and retired from the front line.
And now, we would like to contribute to people in developing countries by conveying the technology, knowledge and experience that we possess.
More than 15 years since its establishment, people from private enterprises who exceed generations agree with our aim and are promoting technology transfer and human resource development.
As many young people get technology and their jobs this will empower young people to design bright future. We are standing with them, closely.
